About FileCraftHub

FileCraftHub is a set of free file tools that run inside your browser. No uploads, no accounts, no watermarks. This page explains what we build, why we build it this way, and who to talk to.

Why this site exists

The idea came from a small, common frustration. You need to combine four scanned pages into one PDF before an application deadline. You search, you find a tool, and you upload photographs of your certificates and identity documents to a website you have never heard of, run by a company you cannot name, in a country you cannot identify. Then you close the tab and hope.

Most people do this without thinking about it, because there is rarely another option and the deadline is in twenty minutes. But it is a strange thing to have become normal. The task itself — reordering pages, cropping a photo, shrinking a file — does not actually require anyone else’s computer.

Modern browsers are capable of doing all of it locally. So that is how we built these tools.

How the tools work

When you add a file to a FileCraftHub tool, your browser reads it from your own device and does the work there — rendering the pages, applying your changes, and writing the finished file back to your downloads folder. Nothing is transmitted to us. There is no upload step, no processing queue, and no copy of your document sitting on a server waiting for a retention policy to expire.

This has a few consequences we think are worth stating openly. On the good side: your documents stay private by design rather than by promise, and the tools keep working on a poor connection once the page has loaded. On the other side: speed depends on your own device, so a very large scanned file will be slower on an old phone than on a laptop. We would rather be straightforward about that trade-off than pretend it does not exist.

What we offer

PDF tools

Organise, merge, split, rotate and compress PDFs, add page numbers, and convert to and from images.

Image tools

Crop, compress, merge and stamp pictures — the everyday steps before a form upload.

Document conversion

Turn Word files into PDFs and photographs into documents, without installing anything.

Everyday helpers

A plain text workspace, a colour code picker and an age calculator built for exact cut-off dates.

Every tool is free, works without an account, and adds no watermark to what you download. New ones get added as we find gaps worth filling.

How we write our guides

Each tool page carries a written guide underneath it, and we take those seriously rather than treating them as filler. A guide should tell you what the tool does, what it cannot do, and where the trade-offs are.

So our compression guide says plainly that a text-based PDF will barely shrink. Our Word converter page says that complex layouts may shift. Our stamping guide says a stamp is a deterrent, not security. Withholding those things would make the pages read better and serve you worse. If we get something wrong, we would genuinely like to hear about it.

Who runs it

FileCraftHub is an independent project, built and maintained from India by a small team rather than a company with a support department. That means replies come from someone who actually worked on the tool you are writing about, and that feature requests are read by the person who would build them.

It also means we are honest about scale. This is not enterprise software. It is a set of well-made utilities for the ordinary tasks that sit between you and a submitted form.

How the site is funded

The tools are free and there is no paid tier. The site is supported by advertising, which is what covers hosting and development time. Advertisements are kept clearly separate from our content, and no advertiser has any say in what our guides recommend or what limitations we disclose.

Since our tools do not receive your files, we have no data to monetise and no interest in collecting any. Our Privacy Policy sets out exactly what is and is not collected.

Get in touch

Bug reports, feature requests, corrections to a guide, or a question about how something works — all of it is welcome at info@filecrafthub.com. The tools that exist today came largely from people describing a task that was harder than it needed to be.
