Before you start
Since the merge runs on your own device, its speed depends on your device. A handful of ordinary documents is instant; several hundred pages of high-resolution scans will take longer and use more memory, particularly on an older phone. If a merge feels heavy, do it in two passes and merge the results.
Password-protected files need to be unlocked first — the tool cannot read pages it cannot open. And the merged file is roughly the sum of its parts, so if the result is larger than an upload limit allows, run it through the compressor afterwards rather than dropping pages.
